It's practically a tradition that I spend every July 4 weekend at Anime Expo, and this year was no exception as I had the opportunity to VJ and DJ the Anime Expo Dance 2022.
The technical team had rented a Resolume setup in years past, but event management felt it was underutilized. We picked up right where we left off in 2019 (AX did not have in person events in 2020 or 2021) and arranged for me to collected artist assets or coordinate guest VJs for all eighteen artists while also DJ a music set. Visuals are a growing part of the anime convention rave experience and I'm happy to report a successful event at the Los Angeles Convention Center this year.
